I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration with a minor in Graphic Design. I have been drawing and painting since I could hold a paintbrush. Art has always been a form of communication and a connection to my inner voice. My current style is highly inspired by art movements such as minimalism and abstract expressionism. I am focused on composition studies exploring principles and elements such as balance, contrast, shape and texture. Mark making and spontaneous gestural brushstrokes make up the primary layers of my work which serve as a meditative release of energies. These expressive beginnings can still be felt and sometimes observed in the final minimalist composition. All in all, I hope to offer the viewer an intentionally simplified form of beauty. My artwork has been part of multiple group and juried exhibitions. My original pieces are purchased and collected locally, nationally and internationally.
